LANE COUNTY, OR · WILLAMETTE VALLEY

Marketing Services in Eugene, OR

Eugene is Springfield's actual twin city, bigger, louder, and constantly the one that gets all the attention. Here's what a shop that treats both towns as real markets, not one blurred metro, actually does here.

The market, actually

Eugene is Lane County's largest city and Springfield's real twin, the two run together in most people's mental map of the area. That's exactly the problem: a lot of marketing treats them as one blurred metro and optimizes for whichever name is bigger, which means Eugene-specific and Springfield-specific searches both lose out to a generic “Eugene-Springfield” approach that serves neither well.

Track Town, actually

Eugene's nickname, Track Town USA, isn't marketing fluff. University of Oregon track coach Bill Bowerman, who went on to co-found Nike with Phil Knight, famously poured rubber into a waffle iron in his kitchen to create a new shoe sole, the literal origin of the Nike waffle trainer. Hayward Field, on the UO campus, has hosted Olympic Trials repeatedly and is where Steve Prefontaine ran. In 2022, Eugene hosted the World Athletics Championships, the first time the event was ever held in the United States.

What we actually do here

Web design for Eugene businesses that need to show up in Eugene-specific searches, not get absorbed into Springfield's results or vice versa. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work that treats each city as its own market. Paid search and social geo-targeted appropriately, tracked to a real conversion. Analytics and branding that reflect the fact that a University of Oregon-adjacent business and a Springfield mill-town business are genuinely different audiences.

Why hyper-local beats generic

We already wrote a real page about Springfield precisely because it keeps getting treated as Eugene's afterthought. The reverse mistake happens too: agencies that only optimize for the bigger name and let Eugene-specific opportunity go unclaimed. We'd rather build both towns the attention they actually deserve.

The river and roads we already know

The Willamette River runs through both cities, and the drive between downtown Eugene and downtown Springfield is a few minutes, not a real trip. Knowing that these are two distinct markets sharing one river valley, not one city with two names, is exactly the kind of local specificity a copy-pasted template can't fake.

Why write about a town we don't have a homepage pin for?

Because our corridor doesn't stop at two dots on a map. Eugene and Springfield are two real markets sharing one river valley, and we'd rather write the real page for both than let one overshadow the other the way most marketing already does.
